Our first visitor!
My friend Candice flew all the way from Ontario to visit this week! We had a blast!
The first couple of days I had to work, but she toured the city on her own and now knows more than me haha. Thursday night I dragged her to a punk show at pub 340, but before that we hung out on the Gwar tour bus! BAHAHAHA I met some of the band and got on the guest list for the sold out show the next night. THAT is why my job is perfect for me. ;)
Friday night we went drinking at Science World! They open it for 'adults only' once a month, and serve alcohol while you play with all the neat science stuff! We learned so many things hahaha. Mainly, we learned that I suck at EVERY activity requiring actual movement, but that I KILL at the relaxing game. ;) Seriously, there was a game that tested your stress level through a strap around your head, and a little ball would roll towards the most stressed person. I was undefeated!
Later that night, it was time for GWAR! We left Science World and headed to the Commodore Ballroom downtown, which is the most amazing place for shows! Apparently it is one of the best venues in North America. Gwar was insane. Soooo much squirting "blood" and other fluids. Hilarious really. Candice survived remarkably well, only getting a bit of blue on her forehead.
Saturday I finally had a day off, so Candice and I went shopping at Metrotown in Burnaby. It was HUGE. 470 stores, and we didn't even get through half of them. No time for that, we had to get home for our party! Chels and I invited a few people over for karaoke and fun before heading downtown. Some joined in on the singing, but Chelsea and I were dominating in that regard. We just love the Singstar game WAY too much methinks.
We had fun downtown, went to a couple of places. Woo hoo. (Can you tell I'm tired of writing?)
Sunday Candice, Chelsea and I went to the Capilano suspension bridge! It was really fun, and sunny out for once! Then we went to Imax and saw an awesome 3D movie!! I now love 3D movies. SO. COOL.
Candice left today after a lovely breakfast and tour around the rich mansion part of Vancouver. Ohhh did we ever feel poor driving around there haha.

Nice to see all of you again having fun. Science World is a place I would like to visit and try a few things myself.
Science and drinking. Wow. Why haven't more science centres caught on to this. Museum of Nature, I'm looking at you!
