We all know how much I love going to punk and hardcore shows, yes? Well, I recently got HIRED as concert photographer for the most anticipated show of June! I was SO excited and nervous, but I got a few good shots. :)
THEN, just as the show is ending, I get asked to write a review for Absolute Underground magazine! It will be in the August issue. I'm really happy to be getting more involved in the music scene here! It is by far the best grouping of local bands I have ever experienced.
Last weekend I took a trip down to Tacoma Washington for a 3 day hardcore punk festival! WOO HOO! I was all set to go by myself, but found a ride (and some new friends) at the last minute. :) I had a blast! We even managed to sneak everyone into my tiny motel room for the weekend. I saw about 50 bands for an average 10 hours a day. They usually played for about 20 minutes, with a 10 minute break in between. Not much time to eat without missing a band! Tiring, but completely worth it. :)
We stopped for FREE coffee at the rest stop in America. What a great idea!
Yep, we actually had breakfast at Hooters. Oh sweet, sweet Jesus. It was everything I hoped it would be. So ridiculous! haha
